8x8 Shed Plans

An 8x8 ft shed is 64 sq ft on a skid floor, the smallest footprint this site supports and the only size available free. Front and back walls run 96 in (8 ft), a single stock length with no splice needed anywhere in the frame.

With a gable roof, each rafter is 59.7 in including a 6 in overhang, short enough to cut from an 8 ft board with room to spare. With a lean-to roof, the back wall frames 14.4 in taller than the front for the roof's single slope, and each rafter runs 103.1 in, still under a 10 ft board.

Two floor skids run the full 8 ft depth with joists on 16 in centers between them. This size is available with a single or double door, and is the only size with a free plan: the Free 8x8 Lean-To Shed Plan is the gable-free, lean-to, single-door version of this exact build.
